Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has expressed his delight at some of the individual performances of his players in their 3-0 win over Preston North End on Tuesday night.

The Yorkshire giants dominated the game from start to finish and could have scored more than just one goal in the first half, which captain Liam Cooper netted in the 37th minute.




Tyler Roberts scored a brace in the second half to seal the points for Leeds at Elland Road and they continued to remain at the top of the Championship table on 18 points from eight league games.

Bielsa was happy with the overall performance of his players and was especially pleased with their first-half showing against Preston.
 


He said in a press conference after the game: "The first half was very good. The second half at the beginning was harder.

“Then we dominated.

“Individual performances were important and our offensive game and defensive game were good.

"There are few things to criticise in this game.”

He was delighted with the movement and understanding his players showed and the Argentine was keen to underline some of the individual performances, which led to the win at home.

"Our team was very dynamic and what we tried to do made us make links between the movements.

“Players were moving to create space for others and this worked well.

“We have to underline the good performances of the individuals. Each one was high."

Leeds remain unbeaten in the league and will host Birmingham City at Elland Road next on Saturday afternoon.
