Preston North End defender Ben Davies is looking forward to an electrifying atmosphere at Elland Road when his side face Leeds United tonight.

Alex Neil’s side have already proven to be a tough nut to crack for Leeds this season and the Whites' only defeat in the current campaign came in the EFL Cup second round against Preston.

Leeds are at the top of the Championship table and are currently unbeaten in the league ahead of facing Preston tonight at Elland Road in front of their fervent home support.

The Leeds home ground is known for creating a cauldron-like atmosphere and Davies is aware of how it feels to play in front of the Elland Road faithful as a visiting team.

The Preston defender is looking forward to a lively setting and believes a good atmosphere could even act as a catalyst for his own side to do well against Leeds.

He told iFollow PNE: “I remember last season, I was on the bench and got a taste of what it is like to play at Elland Road.

“We went down to ten men that day and saw it out for a 0-0. Their crowd was trying to suck the ball into the back of the net and I remember that atmosphere well.

“And I am looking forward to going back, hopefully playing and hopefully that atmosphere will spur us on.”

Preston have not beaten Leeds in a Championship game since a 6-4 win over the Whites at Elland Road in 2010.
