Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he is not going to use the lack of summer signings as an excuse for Tottenham Hotspur’s recent run of poor form.

After a steady start to their season, Tottenham have lost their way in the last few weeks and have suffered three defeats on the trot in all competitions.

Defeats to Watford and Liverpool in the league and a late meltdown at Inter have raised questions over Tottenham’s ability to compete on all fronts this season.

Tottenham’s decision to not add a single new face to their squad in the summer left many observers baffled and some feel it could haunt them for the rest of the campaign.

However, Pochettino has no regrets over the decisions he and the club made during the transfer window and he is unwilling to use it as an excuse for the recent results.

Asked if he regrets not signing anyone in the summer, the Tottenham boss said in a press conference: "I stick with the decision we made in the past.
