Fixture: Villarreal vs Rangers
Competition: Europa League
Kick-off: 17:55 (UK time)

Rangers have revealed their starting eleven and substitutes to take on Villarreal in Spain in their Europa League group stage opener.

Steven Gerrard led the Gers through the qualifying rounds and into the group stage of the Europa League, but the Rangers boss is in no mood to make up the numbers and wants a strong showing from his men.

Gerrard must make do without defender Jon Flanagan and striker Alfredo Morelos, who are both suspended, while Ryan Jack and Ovie Ejaria are injured.

The experienced Allan McGregor lines up in goal for Rangers, while in defence Joe Worrall and Connor Goldson are the central defensive pairing. In midfield, Rangers have Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly, Andy Halliday, Ryan Kent and Daniel Candeias. Kyle Lafferty is up top.

The Rangers manager can look to his bench if he needs to shake things up, with Graham Dorrans and Eros Grezda two options.
