Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is not overly worried about Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah’s form this season and feels he is still in very good shape to do well.

Salah scored 44 goals in all competitions last season and played a massive role in leading Liverpool to the Champions League final in his first year at the Merseyside club.

However, his form has seen a downturn this term, he has netted just two goals in his first five league appearances and has been struggling with his finishing in the current campaign.

But Klopp is not too worried at the moment and pointed towards the shift Salah put in against Paris Saint-Germain defensively and praised his attitude and fitness.

He feels the Egyptian has still been a threat going forward and insisted that attacking players do go through rough patches from time to time.

Speaking in a press conference, Klopp said about Salah’s form: “On a defensive side, the last two games from Mo were outstanding and perfect.

“He is in a good shape. Finishing is something you never can take for granted.

“I never do that and the players shouldn’t do that.”

Salah has not scored in his last three appearances for Liverpool.
