Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes Birmingham City should be doing better with the quality they have in their team and he is not expecting Blues to be pushovers for the Whites on Saturday at Elland Road.

Birmingham are 20th in the Championship table at the moment and are only one of the two sides, along with rock-bottom Ipswich Town, who are yet to win a league game this season.

They have drawn six out of their eight fixtures and are desperate for some form ahead of their trip to Leeds, who are flying on the top of the Championship.

However, Gray warned Leeds that Birmingham are not as bad as their results suggest and they should be doing better with the players they have in their team.

And he is expecting a fiery encounter at Elland Road on Saturday, especially with former Leeds boss Garry Monk returning with Birmingham.

The Leeds legend said on LUTV: “You look at their line-up and you think they should be doing better.

“I know they have not won a game, it has been disappointing.

"But it is a tasty game.

“And especially with the manager coming back.”

Leeds beat Birmingham 2-0 at home the last time Blues were at Elland Road in September last year.
