Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen is looking forward to getting back to winning ways against Brighton on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been going through a rough patch of form since the end of last month and have lost three games on the trot in all competitions.

Defeats to Watford and Liverpool were compounded by their late meltdown against Inter on Tuesday night in Italy and the pressure is on them to turn things around soon.

Pochettino has insisted on the importance of sticking to their processes and not losing perspective, but ahead of their trip to Brighton, the club are desperate to get back to winning ways.

And Vertonghen also insisted that it is time Tottenham get their season back on track at the weekend.

He posted a photo of himself at Spurs’ training ground on Twitter and wrote: “Getting ready for the weekend.

“Time to put things right.”

Vertonghen is tipped to start alongside Toby Alderweireld when Tottenham take on the Seagulls on Saturday.
