Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has dismissed reports of Spurs players suffering from fatigue, following their 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Spurs lost three consecutive games for the first time under Mauricio Pochettino after their 2-1 loss to Inter in their Champions League opener at San Siro on Tuesday.

The good run of form early on in the season looked like a distant memory after their disappointing performances against Watford and Liverpool, while blowing an advantage en route to their loss against Inter hardly helped the case.

However, Tottenham got back to winning ways during their visit to the Amex Stadium on Saturday when they ran out comfortable 2-1 winners against Chris Hughton’s side after goals from Harry Kane and Erik Lamela.

Spurs will be hoping to use the win as a springboard to try and kick-start their revival in the Premier League as they aim for a top four finish this year.

Rose, who was restored to the line-up for the win over Brighton, dismissed the reports that suggested the players are fatigued and termed them a myth.

"The manager is a big believer that it's all in your mind", Rose told BT Sport.

"He looks at how much we've done and how much we've run and he prepares us right for each game.

"I think the excuses going around about fatigue are a bit of a myth and we don't pay any attention to that”, the left-back added.

Tottenham will next face Watford at Wembley in the third round of the EFL Cup before traveling to Huddersfield Town on Saturday for their next Premier League outing.
