Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech has claimed that the Gunners are hardly paying any attention to the voices from outside as they concentrate on the long season ahead under Unai Emery.

Cech joined Arsenal from city rivals Chelsea in 2015 and has been a regular starter under the new manager this season despite the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

The 36-year-old has played every single minute of Arsenal’s Premier League campaign so far this season and has retained his position as the club’s first-choice option between the sticks.

After two losses in their opening games against Manchester City and Chelsea in the Premier League, the Gunners finally have some wind in their sails and registered their fifth consecutive win across all competitions with the 2-0 success against Everton on Sunday.

Cech, who has been backed by Emery to help the team play his style of football, went on to claim that the players in the camp are hardly listening to voice from outside as they go out to try and win every game this season.

"We concentrate on ourselves. People can have their opinions. The season is very long", Cech told beIN Sports.

"We have four [Premier League] wins in a row and are in a much better place but there are so many games to be played still.

“You go through periods in the season where you are getting through difficult moments, better moments, great moments so we keep our feet on the ground.

"We keep working and we try to do our best to get as many points as possible and improve in every game. We are happy with the points."

Arsenal will next face Brentford in the third round of the EFL Cup at the Emirates on Wednesday.
