His performances in the Premier League have further enhanced his stature in Europe and he now has a long list of admirers, with Manchester City having been linked with adding him to their transfer shortlist.

Now, according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Juventus are carefully studying the possibility of taking him to Italy during the January transfer window.

Fabio Paratici, the club’s sporting director, will soon meet Jorge Mendes for high-level talks and he is expected to discuss the possibility of signing the Wolves midfielder in January.

Wolves are likely to be reluctant to lose their influential midfielder in the middle of their first season back in the Premier League.

And if they signal they could sell, Manchester City may rival Juventus for Neves.
