Juventus are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves on a loan deal in January, but are facing competition from Manchester City.

After dominating the Championship last season, Wolves have been impressive in the Premier League as well and Neves has been in the thick of things for the west Midlands club.

The 21-year-old Portugal international has been on the radar of top clubs for a while and Wolves shocked many when they managed to sign him last year from FC Porto.

However, ahead of the January window, Wolves are facing a fight to keep hold of their player as Juventus are keen to take him to Turin this winter.

And according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, the club are set to propose a loan deal for Neves in January and are not worried about meeting his wage demands.

The Italian champions have already met his representative Jorge Mendes and have offered their proposed terms to the Portuguese super-agent.

However, Juventus are not the only one keen on signing Neves in January as Premier League champions Manchester City have also been besotted by his talent.

And the Italian champions are aware that they could struggle to compete financially with Pep Guardiola’s side if they make a serious offer to sign Neves.
