Napoli have put a contract offer in front of Liverpool and Wolves defensive target Jean-Clair Todibo, it has been claimed.

The 18-year-old centre-back made his debut for Toulouse earlier this season and has seamlessly managed to replace Issa Diop, who joined West Ham in the summer, in their starting eleven.

His rapid development at the Ligue 1 club has piqued the interest of European bigwigs and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he is ripe for being picked up by a big club for a paltry compensation fee next summer.

Juventus have reportedly slapped in a contract offer and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have followed suit and offered terms to his representatives.

The Serie A giants have tabled a five-year deal starting next summer and are waiting to hear from the youngster’s agents.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already confirmed that he wants to sign Todibo in January and add him to the squad ahead of the start of next season.

Todibo has also attracted interest from the Premier League with Liverpool and Wolves keen, while Bayern Munich and Schalke are leading the German contingent; the defender is expected to make a decision at the end of the year.

Toulouse have also offered him a new deal but the club are struggling to match the money on offer from the top European outfits.
