Chelsea and Inter have continued their interest in Italian wonderkid Sandro Tonali, sending scouts to watch him in action for Brescia on Saturday.

Tonali, who was called up to the senior Italy squad by Azzurri coach Roberto Mancini for the first time earlier this month, is a wanted man.

A clutch of Serie A's biggest sides are keen, with Inter making the running, while Chelsea, Manchester City and Monaco have also been linked.

Inter and Chelsea have continued to keep tabs on Tonali and had observers in the stands on Saturday when Brescia took on Venezia, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

Brescia slipped to a 2-1 defeat to sit eighth in the Serie B standings.

Inter are trying to press the accelerator on a deal to sign the young midfielder, who has been compared with Italy legend Andrea Pirlo.

Brescia do not want to sell in the January transfer window, but a deal which sees Tonali loaned back to the club to finish the campaign has been mooted.

Club president Massimo Cellino is keen to see an auction take place for the 18-year-old as he looks to achieve the highest possible price.
