Inter have moved into the transfer chase for Liverpool and Wolves defensive target Jean-Clair Todibo.

The 18-year-old defender has seamlessly replaced Issa Diop, who joined West Ham last summer, in the Toulouse starting eleven after making his debut at the start of the season.

The young centre-back’s exploits have piqued the interest of clubs in Europe and with his contract expiring in the summer, the race to land him has been heating up.

Wolves and Liverpool are leading the charge from the Premier League to sign the young Frenchman and Juventus and Napoli have already offered terms on a contract to his representatives.

But there is set to be even more interest in Todibo from Italy and according to Italian broadcaster Rai Sport, Inter have placed themselves firmly in the chase for the defensive starlet.

Former Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta is set to join Inter and Todibo is one of the players who is firmly in his sights.

Toulouse are keen to see him sign a new deal but it seems likely that they are ready to lose him in the summer for a paltry compensation fee.

The Frenchman is expected to take a decision on his future at the end of the year.
