Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva feels the Sky Blues cannot afford to be complacent when they take on Watford in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Silva scored the opening goal as Pep Guardiola’s side beat Bournemouth 3-1 on Saturday, but it was not a comfortable win as the Cherries pushed Manchester City late in the first half and towards the end of the game.

Manchester City have dropped points just twice so far this season and Silva explained that the team will have to play their natural game when they take on Watford and cannot take the opposition lightly.

“A very difficult game against a very strong side that started very well in the Premier League”, Silva said of Watford on CityTV.

“We’ll try to do what we have been doing so far this season.

“Try to start the game well and bring home the three points.”

Watford’s start to the season saw their manager Javi Gracia pick up August’s Premier League Manager of the Month award ahead of Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.

The Hornets are however without a win in their last four league games.
