Bernd Leno has tipped his hat to Arsenal team-mate Lucas Torreira, dubbing the midfielder "incredible" after his performance in the Gunners' 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.

Torreira, who put in a man of the match display, scored Arsenal's first goal in a key Premier League result which has pushed the Gunners up into the top four, above Spurs on goal difference.

Arsenal goalkeeper Leno was pleased with what he saw from Torreira, who cost the north London club £26m to sign from Serie A side Sampdoria.

Leno told beIN Sports: "The manager made his substitutions very, very well, because [Alexandre] Lacazette scored.

"Torreira, he's incredible. He's a fighter, he's so important for our game, for the whole defence.

"He had another perfect game today", the German added.
