Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has revealed that he would not pick any Arsenal player to walk into the Spurs starting eleven ahead of the north London derby this afternoon.

Jenas, who made 200 appearances for Tottenham during his time at White Hart Lane, was asked to pick a combined eleven comprising of players from both Arsenal and Spurs ahead of the derby.

However, the former Tottenham star revealed that he would not drop any Spurs player from the line-up in favour of a player at Arsenal.

Despite saying “none” for an answer initially, Jenas later on admitted that he would try and find space for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although he does not know where he can accommodate the striker in the eleven.

"Do you know what? The only player in Arsenal's team right now that I would really want in the Spurs team is Aubameyang”, Jenas told Playmaker FC.

"But I still don't know where I would put him”, he added.

Furthermore, Jenas was pushed a little more to select at least five players from the existing Arsenal team for the combined eleven and responded in a manner that will delight the Spurs faithful.

"Am I still wanting Spurs to win the game?”, he continued

"I have got to be smart about this.

"[Lucas] Torreira, I would probably take him, I would take [Hector] Bellerin, I would take [Nacho] Monreal and I would take Rob Holding, but just to clarify – that is a fact, that right now, for one of the first times ever, you wouldn't really swap many of the Spurs team for Arsenal players."

“The league never lies, and Tottenham are a better side than Arsenal."

Tottenham are currently three points ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table and will head into the derby on the back of successive wins over Chelsea and Inter, respectively.
