Arsenal manager Unai Emery feels Aaron Ramsey’s focus is currently on the Gunners, despite the fact that his contract runs out at the end of the season.

Ramsey has been linked with a move away from Arsenal as contract negotiations with the club have come to a standstill, but the Welshman continues to be in Emery’s plans for the season.

The 27-year old came off the bench to help Arsenal to a 4-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby on Sunday.

Emery feels Ramsey needs to think about his future, but has lauded the midfielder for the focus he has shown this season.

"I think in the last matches his focus [is there]”, Emery told a press conference before Arsenal’s clash against Manchester United.

“We were speaking between us [the coaches] and I look at him in every match. His focus is positive for us, it helps us.

“He needs to think about his future, for his family and for him.

“If he plays like yesterday, it’s the best for him and the best for us."

Ramsey could be in line to start against Manchester United on Wednesday after his superb display against Spurs.

Arsenal are eight points ahead of their upcoming opponents Manchester United and will hope to beat the Red Devils for the first time since May 2017.
