Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Rangers target Dominic Solanke is ready to play, despite not making a single appearance for the club so far this season.

Solanke has been linked with a move away from Liverpool, with Scottish Premiership side Rangers just one side keen on the 21-year-old.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has admitted he wants to land another striker in next month's transfer window and the Gers were linked with Solanke in the summer.

There could have been concerns amongst suitors of Solanke over his lack of game time this season.

Solanke is currently behind Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the pecking order and is facing an uphill battle to secure minutes on the pitch.

Klopp, however, insists that both Solanke and Origi are in good condition and are ready to play if called upon, due to their diligent approach.

“There was nothing to criticise", Klopp told a press conference ahead of Liverpool's clash against Burnley, when asked if Origi has pushed his case to play by scoring against Everton.

“Divock and Dominic Solanke aren’t in fantastic situations in the squad, but they set wonderful examples for being ready for the moment.

“That’s football, things change in a second."

Solanke made 21 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League last season after moving to Anfield from Chelsea in the summer of 2017.
