Wigan Athletic midfielder Josh Windass feels Manchester City attacker Riyad Mahrez has raised his game to another level after his move to the Etihad.

Mahrez moved to Manchester City from Leicester City in the summer of 2018 for a club record fee and after a slow start, the Algerian has managed to become a key cog in the Sky Blues’ attack.

The 27-year old provided the assist for the opening goal against Watford on Tuesday and scored the second as Manchester City beat the Hornets 2-1 to open up a five point at the top of the Premier League table.

Windass, who moved to Wigan from Rangers in the summer of 2018 after a two-year spell with the Gers, feels that Mahrez is now an even better player than he was at Leicester.

“If you thought Mahrez was a good player at Leicester, what about him at City?

“Incredible”, Windass wrote on Twitter.
