Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has revealed that Gers attacker Ryan Kent is not far from making a comeback.

Kent, on loan from Liverpool, suffered a hamstring injury in November and has missed Rangers’ last three games in the Scottish Premiership.

The 22-year old was a key player for the Gers before his injury, but Gerrard’s side have been able to cope in his absence.

Rangers have a hectic fixture list in the coming weeks and Kent’s return would provide Gerrard with more options to choose from.

Gerrard has revealed that Kent has trained with the rest of the squad and will be available for selection soon, while the Gers are in good shape following their win at Hearts.

“Everyone has come through the game fine, and we have no more injuries to add”, Gerrard told a press conference ahead of Rangers’ clash against Aberdeen.

"Ryan Kent has done two days full training, so tomorrow will come too soon for him, but he is extremely close which is great news for him.”

Kent has largely featured on the left wing for Rangers this season and has scored three goals in 10 Scottish Premiership games.

Rangers will hope to keep their place at the top of the Premiership table when they host Aberdeen at Ibrox tonight.
