AC Milan have been informed about Cesc Fabregas’ salary demands as his future at Chelsea continues to be under the scanner.

The 31-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer and Maurizio Sarri has expressed an interest in seeing him sign a new deal with the club.

Fabregas has given little indication about signing a new contract, but has stated that he would like to see out the remainder of his current deal at Chelsea.

The Blues could look to sell Fabregas in the transfer window next month if they want to be sure of earning a fee for him.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Fabregas’ representatives have also informed AC Milan about the player’s contractual and salary demands.

Fabregas wants wages to the tune of €5m per season and a two-and-a-half year deal, if he is to join next month.

AC Milan are reportedly agreed on the length of the contract, but the midfielder’s financial demands are expected to be steep for the club, who are still waiting on their Financial Fair Play reward.

The Rossoneri want to sign him in January, but could yet be forced to wait until the summer to get him on a free transfer.
