Manchester United Star Expected To Sign New Contract Soon

Manchester United are quietly confident about Ander Herrera signing a new contract with the club in the coming weeks, according to the Times.

Herrera is one of the many players Manchester United who are out of contract in the summer and the club are keen to tie him down to a new deal.

The midfielder’s representatives have been in talks with Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over the last few months for a new deal.

Herrera rejected the club’s first offer, which was only a marginal increase from his current £75,000 per week contract, but the negotiations have been positive since then.

And now Manchester United are confident that the Spaniard will put pen to paper on a new contract in the coming weeks.

The midfielder has no desire to leave Manchester United despite interest from clubs in Spain and Italy and feels settled in the north west of England.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and Woodward are both keen about keeping the 29-year-old at the club and expect him to sign a new deal.

Herrera also remains a much loved and popular figure amongst the Old Trafford faithful.
