Rangers defender Joe Worrall has described his experience in trying to contain Chelsea star Eden Hazard and revealed that the Belgian is the best attacker he has played against.

Worrall, who joined Rangers on loan last summer from Nottingham Forest, was in the Tricky Trees' three-man defence when they took on Chelsea in the EFL Cup at Stamford Bridge last season.

Chelsea handed out a 5-1 thrashing to the Championship outfit, with Hazard bagging two assists and Worrall indicated that it was a nightmare to face to the Belgian winger.

He admits that Hazard is the best forward player he has come up against and described the difficulty of trying to mark and contain an attacking star of his talent and quality.

When asked who the best attacker he has faced is, the defender said on Rangers TV: “Hazard.

“I played against him last year in the Carabao Cup at Stamford Bridge. He was unbelievable, he is really good.

“You think you have got him when he’s facing his own goal and stick tight to him, but he’s gone.

“He is really sharp and a good player.”

Hazard went on to star in Belgium’s run to the World Cup semi-final in the summer and has continued to be the talisman of the Chelsea line-up this season.

Worrall meanwhile is plying his trade in Scotland and has made five league appearances from the starting eleven for Rangers under Steven Gerrard.
