Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp feels the Reds will have to continue the intensity they showed in the 4-0 win against Bournemouth as they face Napoli and Manchester United in their next two games.

The Reds were unstoppable in the second half as they scored three times to add to the solitary goal in the first half, and handed Bournemouth their heaviest defeat at home in the Premier League.

Klopp’s side moved to the top of the table with the win, but face Manchester United in the league next.

Liverpool’s Champions League round of 16 qualification hopes are also hanging by a thread as they need to beat Napoli by two goals to guarantee progression.

Klopp has admitted that the coming week will be huge for the Reds and told the BBC's Match of the Day: "It is always a huge week.

“Napoli is a tough one and then Man United – we all know what can happen there. Hopefully we can stay fit. Let's go for it."

The Merseyside outfit had to make changes to the starting line-up and played James Milner in a right-back role.

Klopp later brought on Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson in the second half to see out the game.

The Liverpool boss added that he was pleased with the intensity the substitutes showed on the pitch.

"It is nice. I really like that. Adam Lallana has not played for so long. Jordan Henderson was playing one-twos.

“It was really good. We want to enjoy it for as long as we can", Klopp said.

Manchester City's defeat at Chelsea means Liverpool are now sitting top of the Premier League table.
