Leeds United legend Eddie Gray is certain Queens Park Rangers boss Steve McClaren will have a plan for the Whites as he remains a quality coach.

After a poor start to the season, QPR have managed to stop the rot under McClaren and have gradually climbed up to eleventh in the league table, six points behind the promotion playoff spots.

However, they are set to face an in-form Leeds side today, who have won their last three games on the trot without conceding a goal and are currently sitting at second in the league table.

Gray is not expecting a walk in the park for Leeds despite the difference between the two sides and feels McClaren’s management could have an effect on the game.

He is certain that the QPR boss will set up his team to cope with Leeds’ threats and believes it will depend on the quality of the players on whether they can carry out the plans.

The Leeds legend told LUTV: “He definitely has a good knowledge of the game.

“The one thing you can be assured about is that he will have look at our team and he will set up his team right to cope with us.”

Gray added: “The only thing is that are the players good enough to carry out his plan?”
