Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister feels the Gers have the players to bounce back against Dundee after their defeat against Aberdeen on Wednesday.

Steven Gerrard’s side dropped to second after the 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen and the loss also ended Rangers’ seven-game unbeaten streak in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers did not find their rhythm and despite having a man’s advantage for 30 minutes, the Gers struggled to muster openings of note before Alfredo Morelos was sent off in the 64th minute.

McAllister has insisted that Rangers have enough quality to bounce back and show their true colours on Sunday when they take on Dundee away from home.

“So this is a disappointing moment but I think we’ve got enough about us in that changing room to put it right on Sunday”, McAllister was quoted as saying by the Herald.

“It always is [a chance to prove yourself].

“It’s one of those nights where if it had been Thursday-Sunday like we have been used to, that’s a shorter period, but the fact it’s been another day makes it a wee bit more difficult.

“But speaking as an ex player the best way to get rid of a bad night is to get to the next game as quickly as possible and put it right.”

Rangers have a crucial period coming up that could shape their season as they play four times in ten days, a run that includes a do or die clash with Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.

Dundee have struggled this season and have won just twice in the Premiership, meaning Rangers will be confident of bouncing back.
