Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has criticised three Gers players following the side's 1-1 draw away at a struggling Dundee side.

Steven Gerrard's men were tipped to get the job done at Dens Park and put pressure on Scottish Premiership leaders and rivals Celtic in the process.

But they fell behind early on and despite Dundee being reduced to ten men in just the 20th minute, could not score more than once, meaning they had to share the spoils.

Kyle Lafferty started up top for Rangers and ex-Gers hitman Boyd thinks he is not showing what he can do.

He also blasted Jordan Rossiter, while claiming Joe Worrall's performance level has slipped.

Boyd said on Sky Sports after the game: "Kyle Lafferty has not looked anywhere near what we know Kyle Lafferty can do.

"Jordan Rossiter has had chance after chance in a Rangers jersey and not delivered.

"Joe Worrall came up and started his Rangers career alright.

"But he looked a pale shadow of the player he was a few weeks ago out there."

Gerrard will now need to rally his troops for a crunch Europa League trip to Austria to play Rapid Vienna on Thursday evening.

The Gers' chance to bounce back in the Scottish Premiership arrives next weekend whe Hamilton make the trip to Ibrox.
