Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti has a decision to make over midfielder Amadou Diawara, who has been linked with Premier League pair Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves

Diawara is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Napoli and his agents have been exploring the possibiity of their client moving to the Premier League.

According to Italian daily Il Mattino, Napoli have in principle decided that they want no major departures or arrivals in the January transfer window.

But the club know a question mark remains over Diawara, who is well down the midfield pecking order, and are ready for Ancelotti to make the call.

Napoli want Ancelotti to either insist on keeping Diawara, or consent to him heading away from the club on loan.

Diawara was linked with leaving Napoli in the summer and it was claimed Tottenham had an offer turned down by the Serie A club.

However, Diawara has been left disappointed by a lack of playing time under Ancelotti and the highly-rated midfielder has managed just 414 minutes of Serie A football this term.

Napoli have the 21-year-old locked down on a contract running until 2021 and it remains to be seen, if he was made available, whether any of his suitors would consider a loan deal.
