Rangers winger Glenn Middleton has revealed that he has not been treated differently by the Gers coaching staff, despite his tender years.

Just 18 years old, Middleton has made the playing eleven on a regular basis under Steven Gerrard this season and has scored two goals in his eight Scottish Premiership appearances so far.

The teenager came off the bench in Rangers’ clash against Dundee on Sunday, but could not inspire his side to a win as they could only manage a 1-1 draw.

Middleton has revealed that despite his age, he needs to perform just like the rest of his team-mates and implement what is asked of him to play regularly.

“No, not at all”, Middleton told Rangers TV when asked if he has been treated differently because of his age.

“We all know what’s asked of us.

“If you don’t answer those questions on the pitch then you won’t play.

“It’s as simple as that."

Middleton has featured in four out of Rangers’ last five league games and will hope to continue seeing regular playing time with a busy run of fixtures coming up.

Rangers will next take on Rapid Vienna in the Europa League and need to beat the Austrian side to progress to the next round of the competition.
