Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is sure that the Reds will be handed a huge boost during their crucial Champions League meeting with Napoli as they are playing at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s men need to beat Napoli either 1-0 or by two clear goals this evening on Merseyside to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.

Liverpool, who moved to the summit of the Premier League table with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, will be aiming to continue their form against Napoli to try and extend their involvement in Europe’s elite competition.

The Reds suffered a 1-0 defeat during the reverse fixture between the sides in October, but are expected to make the best use of home advantage during the return leg tonight.

Fabinho, who arrived at Anfield during the summer, thinks that Liverpool will be handed a huge boost against Napoli since they are playing at home and backed by a raucous atmosphere.

The Brazilian admits that it will be a tough game, but added that Liverpool’s fate still lies within their own hands at this point in time.

“It’ll be a very difficult game. Napoli showed their quality over in Italy when they beat us, but it’s in our hands”, Fabinho told the club’s official website.

“We’ll be playing at Anfield, which will be an extra boost for us.

"As always, we’re going to try to impose ourselves, as we do against whoever we’re up against.

“And driven on by our fans, we’re going to give our everything to win this game.”

Fabinho played the entirety of the win over Bournemouth, but has started just a single game in the Champions League so far this term.
