Manchester United are yet to receive any confirmation on whether they will be playing Tottenham Hotspur at their new stadium next month.

Tottenham were scheduled to start to the season at their new home ground, but were forced to continue to play at Wembley due to the club’s inability to complete the work.

The club are facing further delays to a project that is already six months behind scheduled and Tottenham have an agreement in place to play at Wembley for the rest of the season.

Tottenham had hoped that they would play their first game at their new home against Manchester United on 13th January, but there are more indications that this fixture could also be shifted to Wembley.

Manchester United have sent an email to their season ticket holders, confirming that they have postponed the ballot for tickets for next month’s away clash against Spurs.

The email from the club read: “We’re unable to complete the ballot today as the venue for the fixture has not yet been confirmed.

“Unfortunately, we have not been given any indication when we will receive confirmation of the venue, allocation and ticket prices.”

Tottenham are set to provide an update on their new stadium later this week when they are set to confirm the staging of their home matches beyond the Wolves game on 29th December, which is set to be played at Wembley.
