An Arsenal scout was at the Doosan Arena on Wednesday night to watch Tottenham Hotspur target Cengiz Under in action for Roma.

The 21-year-old Turkey winger was on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe when Roma signed him from Basaksehir last year.

Under has made considerable progress in Italy and has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the Roma squad, scoring five goals and adding as many assists to his name this season.

Manchester City, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping tabs on the young winger and even Arsenal have been linked with an interest.

And now according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, an Arsenal scout was in the Czech Republic on Wednesday night to run the rule over Under as Roma took on Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

Despite Roma’s 2-1 defeat, the Turkey winger impressed with a goal and continues to catch the eye of many observers across Europe.

Roma are mindful about the kind of interest Under has been attracting and it remains to be seen if they will receive offers in January.

He has a contract until 2022 with the Giallorossi.
