Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has emerged on Inter's radar as doubts grow over Luciano Spalletti at the San Siro.

A win over PSV Eindhoven at the San Siro on Tuesday would have taken Inter into the last 16 of the Champions League, but the Serie A giants failed to do the job.

Tottenham rejoiced at Inter’s expense and the result has opened up questions about Spalletti’s ability to lead the Nerazzurri forward in the coming seasons.

He recently signed a new three-year deal, but his future at the club is now depending on the Nerazzurri qualifying for the Champions League again next season.

And according to Italian daily Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have already come up with a shortlist of names they would want to whittle down if they are to part ways with Spalletti next summer.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is their top choice but it has been claimed that the Nerazzurri will also consider reuniting with Mourinho next season.

The Portuguese’s future at Manchester United has been under the scanner and it is unclear how long he could remain at Old Trafford if the club miss out on the top four.

Mourinho remains a revered figure at Inter as he won the treble with the club during his two-year stay at the San Siro.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is also one of the names on Inter's radar as Spalletti’s replacement.
