Burnley manager Sean Dyche has admitted he likes the way Saturday’s opponents Tottenham Hotspur go about their business during games under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Clarets return to action in the Premier League when they take the trip to the capital to face Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday.

Burnley got back to winning ways by registering their first win in nine league games against Brighton at Turf Moor last Saturday, but remain just two points above the relegation zone.

Dyche’s men will be up against a Tottenham side that are high on confidence after booking their berth in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

He admits that he likes the way Tottenham go about their business under Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the meeting between the sides and insists they are effective in their style.

The Burnley boss also claimed that they are currently enjoying a fantastic start to the season and stressed their achievement against Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.

“I think Tottenham are having a fine start”, Dyche was quoted as saying by the Lancashire Telegraph.

“They had a great result the other night.

“I really like the way they go about their business.

"I think the manager plays direct football but in a passing style.

“I think if they can get from A to B quickly they do and they are effective within that, the tempo of how they play.”

Burnley have a tough set of fixtures during the festive period with a trip to face Arsenal and home games against Everton and West Ham looming in the background ahead of the meeting with Spurs.
