Leeds United are expected to net between £6m and £7m if Getafe make Samu Saiz's loan move permanent in the summer, it has been claimed.

The Spanish outfit are moving to complete a six-month loan deal for the wantaway Leeds star and the agreement will contain an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Saiz is unsettled in England and wants to return to Spain with his pregnant wife, with the Getafe move meaning he will return to his home city of Madrid.

A well-regarded creative talent at Elland Road, losing Saiz is seen as a blow by many, but it is one which a permanent deal and hard cash could cushion next summer.

Leeds will, if Getafe activate the purchase option, earn between £6m and £7m for Saiz, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Saiz is not involved today for Leeds as they prepare to take on Bolton Wanderers in a Championship fixture.

It remains to be seen when Leeds will confirm the move, but Saiz's loan cannot be officially registered until the transfer window swings back open in the new year.

Leeds signed Saiz from Huesca in the summer of 2017.
