Celtic winger James Forrest says that the Bhoys will be aiming to make sure they win all five games before the winter break.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have picked up their form in the Scottish Premiership and also made it to the knockout stage of the Europa League on Thursday, which means confidence is high in the Celtic ranks at the moment.

The Hoops will finish the year with the much-anticipated Glasgow derby in late December against Rangers and the coming weeks could be key.

Forrest, who has been an important player for Rodgers this season, has revealed that the team are aiming to win all their games before the winter break and keep their place at the top of the table.

“People always say that December is a busy month but every month has been like that for us right from the start”, Forrest was quoted as saying by the Herald

“Most of us have had pretty much the same number of games all the time, but we have the players and a squad which can keep bouncing back game after game.

“We now have at least another two matches more than anyone else because we’ve qualified from our Europa League group but the manager said when he first came to the club that the top players and the best teams always play the most games and that’s what we want to do.

“We have five Premiership fixtures before the winter break and we’ll be looking to take three points from all of them.”

Celtic take on Hibernian away from home in the Premiership on Sunday in what could be a tough game for the Hoops.
