West Ham United attacker Felipe Anderson has admitted he needed time to adapt to the Premier League, while lauding the hard work the Hammers have put in.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side lost their opening four games of the season and were hit by a series of injuries in the opening couple of months, but have bounced back to climb up to 11th in the Premier League table.

Anderson, who was one of the players the Hammers signed in the summer, feels adapting to the league needed time and the hard work the players have put in training is showing on the pitch.

“Coming here was a big change for me and I needed to get ready for it mentally”, Anderson told West Ham United’s official website.

“The start didn’t go brilliantly for the team or for me, but now we’ve put together a run of wins and of course that’s making everyone involved with the club very happy.

“We’re all putting in lots of hard work because we know there is a long way to go in the season, but all is going well at the moment.”

West Ham’s run of three wins on the trot is their best for more than a year and the Hammers have the chance to move further up the table if they can win their game at Fulham today.

The east Londoners travel to Craven Cottage to take on bottom-placed Fulham and will hope to keep their winning run going.
