Former Juventus Midfielder Backs Move For Arsenal Star

Italy legend Andrea Pirlo believes that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could prove to be a great signing for Serie A champions Juventus, if they can tempt him to Turin.

The 28-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season after the Gunners withdrew their offer for him to sign an extension.

And the Welsh international will be free to discuss terms with foreign clubs once the transfer window opens in January, with no shortage of interest in his services.

Juventus, who managed to snap up Emre Can from Arsenal's rivals Liverpool last year on a free transfer, are now keen to go for Ramsey as well and Pirlo, who played for the Italian champions from 2011 to 2015, believes that the signing of the Arsenal man could prove to be another excellent one for the Italian giants.

"Ramsey is a great acquisition", Pirlo explained to Sky Italia.

"Juventus are preparing another excellent deal.

"He is a strong player and could do very well."

Ramsey has continued to be involved on a regular basis by Arsenal boss Unai Emery this season, despite his contractual situation.

He has managed a total of 353 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 61 goals, and has set up 63 more for his team-mates.
