Liverpool legend Steve Nicol says that Alberto Moreno does not deserve any more chances at Anfield due to his awful performances in the past.

Moreno, who joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014, has endured a testing tenure at Anfield and things took a turn for the worse during the emergence of Andrew Robertson last season.

The Spaniard has made just two appearances in the Premier League so far this season and recently opened up on an interview that he is clearly frustrated with the lack of playing time.

Moreno also voiced his opinion on how he thinks Jurgen Klopp is not providing him enough support to try and help him displace Robertson as the first-choice left-back in the team.

Despite Moreno’s aching for more involvement, Nicol thinks that the full-back does not deserve more chances at Liverpool due to his awful performances in the past.

“How many chances do you need?”, Nicol said on ESPN FC.

“I mean, how many times can you mess up and still think you deserve to play? That’s basically it.

“Moreno has had more than enough chances and by the way, he wouldn’t have gone out and bought Robertson had Moreno not been awful.”

Moreno, who is out of contract next summer, is free to talk to foreign clubs when the transfer window swings open in January.
