Former Premier League shot-stopper Shaka Hislop has predicted that Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is unlikely to join Real Madrid in the near future.

Hazard, who has contributed to 19 goals in the Premier League for Chelsea this season, is yet to sign an improved deal at Stamford Bridge that would keep him in west London beyond 2020.

The Belgian has been touted as the ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid and Los Blancos could make a move to sign him next summer.

Despite the concrete interest from Real Madrid, Hislop feels that Hazard will not make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, especially considering the situation at both clubs.

The former Premier League star thinks the uncertainty at Real Madrid, coupled with Hazard’s stellar showing under Maurizio Sarri, could tempt the winger to stay put in west London.

“I’m going to put this [Eden Hazard to Real Madrid] down as a miss”, Hislop said on ESPN FC.

“Too much uncertainty at Real Madrid, you’re not quite sure who that manager is and I think Hazard, despite playing a false-nine which he says is not his preferred position, he has got to be enjoying life under Sarri.

“So as of right now, go where? And why?”

Hazard, who joined Chelsea in 2012, has won five trophies, including the Europa League, during his time at Stamford Bridge.
