Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes that Alisson and Ederson are two of the world’s best goalkeepers, and are perhaps even better than Germany number 1 Manuel Neuer.

The Reds take on Manchester City tonight and the two Brazilian duo are expected to line up in goal for their respective teams.

While Ederson played a key role in Manchester City’s build-up play last season and helped them to the title, Alisson is doing the same this season for Liverpool with his impressive distribution as well as shot-stopping ability.

Neuer has been the German number 1 for nearly a decade and is still going strong at Bayern Munich.

Klopp, however, feels the Brazilian duo are maybe even better than the German World Cup winner.

“Now they [Brazil] have two of the world’s best, if not the world’s best. It is incredible”, Klopp told Liverpool’s official website.

“Coming from Germany, I know how important Manuel Neuer was with his football playing on top of his goalkeeping skills.

“You can’t imagine that two can come along with the same skills and maybe even a bit better.

"What I would say is these two boys do not have to hide.”

Alisson has played a key role for Liverpool this season and has kept 12 clean sheets in the league so far, while Ederson is not far behind with eight clean sheets for Manchester City.
