Leeds United legend Tony Dorigo feels there is no outstanding team in the Championship this season, but believes the Whites have a better style than anyone else in the division.

Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival in the summer has seen Leeds’ fortunes change dramatically this season as they have played high intensity and easy on the eye football that has earned them plaudits this season.

Leeds are at the top of the Championship table and the players have adapted well to Bielsa’s system in the first half of the season.

Dorigo says that the competitive nature of the Championship suggests that there is no exceptional team in the division, but feels Leeds have a style like no other.

The former Whites defender also said there is still some way to go before Leeds can celebrate promotion, but is hopeful the club can achieve it in their centenary year.

“So many things seem to go our way. When they don’t go our way, they don’t go our rivals’ way either. It’s just amazing", Dorigo said on LUTV.

“Some of the performances we’ve had, you know the Villa and Blackburn [results] are just stuff of fairy tales, it really is.

“I think we’re looking good. There’s no outstanding side in this division, that’s why it’s so tight and close.

“The way we play I think is a great style and better than what I’ve seen in the Championship.

“Still plenty to do, plenty of games to go, we’re looking good and hopefully it’s our year.”

Leeds take on QPR in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday and will then return to action in the Championship when they face Derby County next week.
