Arsenal are closing in on Barcelona talent Denis Suarez, who has also been on West Ham and Everton's radar.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is aiming to bolster his squad in the current transfer window as he looks to guide the club to a top four finish in the Premier League.

Suarez is set to quit Barcelona after growing frustrated at a lack of opportunities at the Camp Nou, with AC Milan and Roma having probed his situation.

He has also had interest from West Ham United, Everton and Watford, who have all enquired.

But, according to Sky Italia, Arsenal are at the front of the queue and are closing in on Suarez's signature.

Suarez, 24, has been given just 17 minutes of football in La Liga by Barcelona this season, though he has also turned out in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

The midfielder has won one cap at senior level for Spain.

A move to Arsenal would reunite Suarez with Emery, who he played under at Sevilla.
