The entourage of Liverpool and Wolves linked defender Jean-Clair Todibo have insisted that the Frenchman’s future has not been finalised, despite speculation of him joining Barcelona next summer.

The 19-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is now widely expected to leave Toulouse for greener pastures once his deal runs out.

Juventus and Napoli have tabled offers for him and he has also been courting interest from the Premier League, with Liverpool and Wolves interested in taking him to England.

But Todibo has reportedly made the decision to move to Spain and Barcelona believe they have done the work needed to sign him next summer.

However, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, his representatives have stressed that nothing has been finalised and he is yet to sign a contract with any club.

While they have not explicitly denied the Barcelona claims, the Frenchman’s entourage insisted that his future remains unresolved, but are expecting a decision in the next week.

The 19-year-old broke into Toulouse’s first team at the start of the season and took very little time to cement a place in the starting eleven.

Barcelona feel they have their man but the defender’s agents have managed to keep the suspense alive.
