Fiorentina are in talks to sign Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira on loan until the end of the season, it has been claimed.

The 23-year-old midfielder has seen minutes hard to come by this season at Manchester United and even under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he has made just two substitute appearances.

The Brazilian wants to play more football in the latter half of the season and it has been claimed Manchester United are prepared to let him leave on loan in the winter window.

Pereira spent last season on loan at Valencia, but there are suggestions that he could be moving to Italy in January.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Fiorentina are interested in signing the midfielder on loan from Manchester United during the winter transfer window.

The Serie A outfit have been in touch with the player and his representatives, and Pereira is claimed to be close to providing his nod to a move to Italy this month.

It remains to be seen whether interim Manchester United boss Solskjaer is willing to let a midfielder leave in the middle of a season and risk weakening his squad.

Pereira has made two starts in the Premier League this season and has played just 277 minutes of football over eight appearances for Manchester United.
