Former Scottish top flight star Tam McManus says he has heard that Celtic are set to complete the signing of Vakoun Issouf Bayo later today.

The Bhoys are looking to strengthen their squad over the course of this month's transfer window and over the weekend landed winger Oliver Burke on loan from West Brom.

Brendan Rodgers has been showing interest in young forward Bayo and McManus says the deal is done, with the 21-year-old set to join the champions.

The former Hibernian attacker wrote on Twitter: "Hearing Celtic have agreed a fee for Vakoun Issouf Bayo and the deal is done.

"Announced at some point today", he added.

Bayo has been capped twice at international level by the Ivory Coast and is capable of playing on the left flank in addition to his natural position up front.

He is currently on the books at Slovakian side Dunajska Streda and it remains to be seen how much Celtic will pay to land him.

The Bhoys are also expected to soon complete the signing of Timothy Weah on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
