Tammy Abraham was absent from Aston Villa training today as he closes in on a move to Wolves, according to Sky Sports News.

The Chelsea striker is on loan at Aston Villa and has found the back of the net on a regular basis in the Championship.

His form has attracted the eyes of Wolves, with boss Nuno looking to add extra firepower to the ranks for the second half of his side's Premier League campaign.

Chelsea and Wolves are continuing talks over a loan deal and, in a sign of how quickly matters are progressing, the striker was not at Aston Villa training on Monday.

The deal is expected to be done within the coming days as Abraham shapes up to play Premier League football.

Abraham's departure will be a blow for Aston Villa as they bid to push up into a playoff spot.
