Everton sent a scout to check up on FC Porto winger Yacine Brahimi during the Portuguese giants' win over Nacional.

Brahimi, who has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe as his contract ticks down at the Estadio do Dragao, netted a brace during Porto’s 3-1 win over Nacional in the Primeira Liga on Monday night.

And according to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo, Everton were keeping a close eye on the Algerian, with a scout in the stands.

The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for Porto so far this term after being directly involved in 13 goals from his 27 appearances in all competitions.

The winger could be set to be hot property given his contractual situation.

Brahimi, who joined Porto from Granada in 2014, is out of contract in the summer and can now enter negotiations with clubs outside Portugal.

However, it remains to be seen if Everton can steal a march on the race for acquiring the Algerian’s services.
