Leander Dendoncker’s agent has insisted that no concrete decision has been taken on the midfielder’s long term future at Wolves.

The Belgian joined the newly promoted Premier League outfit last summer on a season-long loan deal from Anderlecht, with Wolves reserving an option to turn it into a permanent deal.

However, the 23-year-old has been a bit part player at Wolves this season and ahead of his first start against Tottenham Hotspur last month, he had only played nine minutes of league football.

It is unclear whether Wolves are planning to hold on to the defensive midfielder for the long term and Andres Dendoncker, his brother and his agent, conceded that nothing has been finalised yet.

He stressed that the midfielder will need answers from Wolves before he takes a decision on his future.

“We are in the window, but there is nothing decisive”, he told Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport when asked whether Wolves are planning to take up the option to sign the midfielder.

“We need to understand a few things with Wolves and then decide.”

Roma are said to be interested in taking him to Italy but his agent stressed that there has been no contact from any club.

“For now we have had no contacts.”
